A brilliant splash of color surrounded by a sea of boring tuxedos and little black dresses, the Italian actress looks as if she’s the only woman in the room at the Chatelet Theater in Paris, France.
The long ruffled silk scarf plays perfectly against the floor length purple dress, the two shades of purple accentuating each other, whilst the length of the shawl pulls the eye down over the entire length of the dress.
Silk shawls are the perfect accessory to complement this kind of formal gown. They give you a world of options. You can either gently train them around your elbows, allowing the length of the shawl to fall vertically by your sides for that impression of height. Or, you can cover your shoulders. They’re just so versatile.
